The LSESU Data Science Society will be hosting its annual datathon on the 26th-27th February 2022.
This event provides the opportunity to attend workshops, meet our industry partners and solve challenges posed by FNA and TrueCue.
Take part by yourself or in a group of up to three. Prizes for the top participants include opportunities to be fast-tracked for summer internships with our sponsor firms FNA and TrueCue, and cash prizes worth £2500 to be won.

Judging Criteria

Communication
This refers both to the presentation of the solution, in terms of data visualisation, but also in terms of supporting explanations, and the overall clarity , structure and thought process behind the solution. -
Technical Implementation
Does the solution present sound and rigorous methodology, and appropriate use of Data Science techniques - data engineering , feature engineering, modelling. -
Extra points
Points for exceptional, creative, and possibly ‘original’ solutions that the judges enjoyed. An example could be obtaining additional relevant datasets beyond the ones suggested, or incorporating datasets in a unique, creative way.
